THE LUXE GUIDE

Built to last — with a little care.

A premium outdoor kitchen is an investment, and a few simple habits keep it looking and performing like new for years. Here's how to protect what you've built, season after season.

Simple Routine Care

  • After each cook: burn off grates, then brush while warm. Wipe exterior stainless with a soft cloth.
  • Monthly: clean grease trays, check burner ports for blockages, wash stainless with a dedicated cleaner (wipe with the grain).
  • Seasonally: deep-clean the interior, inspect gas connections, and check that igniters and burners fire evenly.

Always follow your product's manual for cleaning products and procedures — some finishes have specific dos and don'ts.

Protect It Between Uses

  • Use fitted covers when units aren't in use — the single best thing for longevity.
  • Mind coastal air: salt accelerates corrosion; rinse and wipe stainless more often near the coast.
  • Winterize if you store seasonally: disconnect fuel, cover, and protect any water lines from freezing.

Keeping Stainless Looking New

Surface rust spots on stainless are almost always from airborne particles or hard water — not a defect. A dedicated stainless cleaner and wiping with the grain handles it. Avoid steel wool and harsh abrasives, which scratch the finish and make it worse.
